Villa UMALAS 593
Built in 2010, The Villa is the brainchild of Belgian decorator Marianne Dengis. When she first saw the mango trees on this lush field she knew she had a new project on her hands. Less than 2 years and many trips to the Island later, the house stands as if it has been there forever. Weathered railway sleepers lead your way in the garden while only ancient teak has been used on the floor. Antique furniture and unique artworks combine to give The Villa the feel of a collector's residence.
The guest rooms at The Villa are modern and contemporary in their use of space and light while artisanal Balinese accents keep the rooms grounded in tradition. Carefully chosen textiles unite the new with the old and add a fresh dimension to the clean white interiors.
